Holt HR: Better by experience
Holt HR was founded by Peter Holt, who spent over 15 years in the City of London working for international law firms as a recognised business adviser and specialist in human resources, industrial relations and employment law, before establishing Holt HR Consulting in 2012.
Peter originally qualified as a barrister in 1994 and remains an unregistered barrister (that is, a non-practising barrister). He is also currently a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). He now provides his services as a Human Resources, Business and Employment Law Consultant to businesses in the private and public sector, from large and international companies, to SMEs and start-ups, as well as the charity/third sector. He has worked in boutique, major City and international law firms, focussing corporate and commercial advice, employment and human resources related matters since 1995.
In nearly 25 years as a business and human resources specialist and senior employment adviser, Peter has appeared in the employment tribunals, County Courts and High Courts throughout the UK. Additionally, he has worked in partnership with a diverse range of clients building relationships to provide solutions which avoid the need for litigation.
Peter has advised clients on the employment aspects of major mergers and acquisitions, both in the UK and on a trans-national basis. He has particular expertise in advising on the employment and human resource implications of outsourcing, having been involved in a large number of PFI and public-private partnership transactions in the health, defence and local government sectors. In particular, he advised on the pilot scheme for the Retention of Employment Model at the Walsgrave Hospital PFI Project.
Complementary to his advisory and non-contentious experience, Peter has appeared in the employment tribunals for nearly 25 years.
Additionally, Peter has significant experience is designing and delivering training programmes and knowledge management to entrepreneurs, HR professionals and business managers in the private, public and third sectors.
